Somatic therapy is so well marketed everyone is playing in that sandbox.
There are somatic expression of trauma, and there are somatically experienced trauma.
Please do not ask the latter the “put them in their body” questions until after a level of healing has occurred.
Examples aren’t limited to physical and/or sexualized violence. Consider how we experience violence for our posture, gender expression / mannerism, experience in uniforms representing oppression, insufficient heating/cooling, and with touch / contact stimuli overload in some neutodiverse individuals.
